LA Dodgers Finally Moving Nomar to 3rd

Apparently James Loney hitting .429 since being recalled from the minor leagues was finally enough for the Los Angeles Dodgers to realize that their best lineup has Nomar Garciaparra playing at 3rd Base and not at 1st Base.
Not only has James Lomey been stellar at the plate but it looks like he could be a stud defensively also…
The Dodgers website is reporting that Nomar could make his first start at 3rd as early as Friday of this week. Dodgers skipper Grady Little also commented that Garciaparra would most likely spend the rest of the season at 3rd.

Brad Penny picked up his 10th win (tops in the NL) last night and lowered his ERA to 2.04 while going 8 innings and only giving up 4 hits!
I know I’ve been fearful about how Brad Penny is going to pitch in the 2nd half of the year but after seeing how he’s throwing his splitter, I don’t think he’s going to have a problem.

How well the Dodgers do down the stretch will be largely
dependent on how well Hong-Chih Kuo and Chad Billingsley pitch down the stretch…
Chad Billingsley pitches for the Dodgers tonight in an NL West matchup against the Arizon Diamondbacks.
