The San Diego Padres have allegedly decided to cut ties with 44 year-old lefty David Wells and this LA Dodgers fan believes that Ned Colletti and the Dodgers need to pick him up.
I understand and I agreed with the team when they decided NOT to trade away any of their young talented players for a [...]

Regardless of how you feel for Barry Bonds you better get used to the fact that in a matter of days (or weeks or even months if he continues to play the way he has been) this guy will be the Home Run King of major league baseball.
For Barry Bonds’ sake, I hope he doesn’t [...]

I don’t know about you but every time I see Mark Hendrickson take the mound for the Los Angeles Dodgers my stomach starts to turn…
How many more losses does this guy have to rack up before the Dodgers try something different?
I give Hendrickson credit for doing whatever Grady Little has asked of him (for example [...]

Don’t look now but the Los Angeles Dodgers are starting to get hot!
More specifically the Dodgers youngsters are getting hot…
Matt Kemp is hitting .421, James Loney is hitting .476 and Russell Martin just continues to play like a 10 year veteran.

With Chad Billingsley and Hong-Chih Kuo now occupying the 4th and 5th spots for your Los Angeles Dodgers starting rotation, it may just be demoted starters Mark Hendrickson and Brett Tomko that save the Dodgers season…
Billingsley went 3 2/3 innings last night while being limited to 70 pitches by LA Dodgers skipper Grady Little. Billingsley [...]

The Los Angeles Dodgers signed the starting pitcher to a $47 million dollar 3 year contract this off-season and were rewarded with 1 victory and a 6.31 ERA!
Unbelievable!
For those that don’t know, Schmidt had shoulder surgery on Wednesday and will be out the rest of this season…
It [...]

Jason Schmidt’s fastball topped out at 88 mph today in a loss against the Los Angeles Angels.
The more I see this guy pitch the more I think he’s perfecly healthy. I mean he appears to be throwing effortlessly and he claims to be throwing without pain so let’s just assume he’s healthy.
What happened to his [...]

Randy Wolf picked up his league-leading 8th win last night and James Loney, who was recalled to the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday, delivered a game-winning double in the 6th inning.
Be honest, how many of you thought Randy Wolf would be this good?
And where would the Dodgers be without Randy Wolf considering the disappointment Jason [...]

As I was watching Jason Schmidt pitch yesterday against the Toronto Blue Jays, I kept telling myself:
Here is a guy who has not adjusted to the sudden loss in velocity of his fastball.
Now he just came back last week after spending 6 weeks on the disabled list so I have to figure he’s healthy.
I have [...]

Dodgers closer, Takashi Saito, said he was ready to pitch last night after sitting a few games due to tightness in his hamstring and manager Grady Little decided to play it safe and used 8th inning set up man Broxton instead.
It proved to be a bad decision at the time because Broxton got lit up [...]
