Barry Bonds is Coming to Town

Regardless of how you feel for Barry Bonds you better get used to the fact that in a matter of days (or weeks or even months if he continues to play the way he has been) this guy will be the Home Run King of major league baseball.
For Barry Bonds’ sake, I hope he doesn’t do it while playing the Los Angeles Dodgers at Chavez Ravine and it has nothing to do with him taking steroids…
It has everything to do with him playing for the hated San Francisco Giants.
Can you imagine the hallowed Home Run record being broken and hearing nothing but boos and countless other obsenities from Dodgers fans?
Because that’s exactly how history would go down at Chavez Ravine.
I can already envision Vin Scully handing off the mic to Ross Porter to avoid having to make the home run call.
At this point I don’t think anyone wants to see Barry Bonds break the home run record but unfortunately I also think we all know it’s inevitable…
So go ahead Barry…
Break the home run record and then go the hell away.
Just don’t do it in Los Angeles.
